Maryland to Join Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS)

Beginning mid-2009, Maryland will be transitioning to NMLS.  This national system provides one common, unique identifying license number and record for each mortgage originator and lender.

As Maryland shifts to NMLS, the licensing term for Maryland  loanoriginator will be for a year (January1 through December 31).

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 MARYLAND WILL BE ADOPTING NEW LICENSING SYSTEM FOR THE MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATORS.
